The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) lists more than 3,000 power outages in pockets across the state, with most reported in the west, where snow is at its heaviest. With more snow forecast to fall throughout the day and into Saturday, those numbers could increase.

Snow is expected to continue to fall throughout the night and into tomorrow, forecasters said. Western portions of Hampshire, Franklin, and Hampden counties are under a winter storm advisory until Saturday, along with all of Berkshire County.
Though, areas with lower elevations have gotten rain.
State Department of Transportation crews are plowing and salting roads to keep them clear and safe. But it's a good idea to check Mass511 before venturing out to know of trouble spots or any incidents.
According to WWLP, Rowe received 13 inches of snow Friday afternoon, the most in Massachusetts. Plainfield and Chester are digging out from under 12 inches.
